It was a fun series and it took a few years to complete
Friends would bring me hubcaps they'd find on the highway.
I took the best of the lot and did this 9 cap series.
Did a few commission caps too

Definitely a work of art whatever that color is. That color does look a bit dirty. ;p Grit, rust, and imperfect is more fun after all. You have to take risks. Perfect does not take risks... Starting backwards on the series but super creative. BIG LIKE

I really like your comment about how perfect doesn't take risks.
I saved this one for last as a testament to all the hubcaps that get discarded for not being pretty enough.  This cap mirrors our world that is obsessed with perfection pursuits or the lack thereof.  There is plenty of beauty in time gone by and its spare nature was a challenge to work with .... whatever that color is it certainly got some attention just like a black swan would in a sea of white.

I didn't live in the 70s or 80s but I watch a good amount of movies with my dad from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s and I got the feeling of the poem.  -  Cara
