the color of pain
sadness confounds me
blue is speaking inside the brightly colored rain
softly misting my soul
it hurts to be this vulnerable in a world so grey
I'll let go first if you need me to
my husband is sleeping while the Earth keeps turning
God I hurt inside the madness
he's going to give up on me
my faith shivers
my lips quiver as prayers tumble from my lips--
to a god I am unsure of
innocence is shaken
a Goddess awakens, where a little girl frightened stood
painful feelings stirred, I am embraced
I don't know what to believe in
nothing is certain
the unknown trembles my spirit
somewhere in time I am whole
if not in this life then the next
I place one foot in front of the other and march
to the beat of my heart
she plays a lonely song
none understand the fear of becoming as you do
until the mortal dawns the immortal
the sun shall rise on me no more
