Tough love
Hey baby
There's a subject we gotta touch
I feel you don't feel you're enough
That sometimes I'm too hard, too tough
Do I put you down too much
Push you around when I should push up
You have such potential love
But I know that sometimes I'm a lil rough
You don't complain or anything
But I don't want you to look down
Or back out from a fight or frown
You should be confident when I'm around
So if I'm being a bit rough
I don't know any other way

Quitting to Win
Look at you slithering down to your deepest roots
Blaming everything you can for your constant bad Juju
And it seems like the violin strings are broken and stretched
The bow is arching slightly from the notes that've been violently etched
I listen to streams creating symphonies heard time after time
Going from sad heartbreaking numbers to mad, angry designs
All of which contain lines so painful as to reach out and touch

All Staff are not Allowed to wear Masks.
How dare you put me on the front lines
Give me a gun with no ammo to lay out the fines
You preach your law to me
Your decree to do no harm
Your policy even points to the corrupt that constantly swarms
If I go down know the rest will go down too, you know
As well as all the soldiers standing with me pulling everyone at tow
Yeah I know
We're just nurses
Just fuckin pions in your scheme
Every time one of us downs you find another one to bleed
You'd think resources would be available at the front
But it seems the dollar wins...

Spit and Shine
Waking up on the line clockin in late
Sitting up in bed to end the toss around debate
Gotta make some coffee while I finally get dressed
Computer says I'm out but I'm still one toe in bed
Food is the last thing on my mind
Unless she forces me, I got nothing to grind
So I get to work and try not to work all day
Come home take a bath stare at my ceiling while I lay
Again
I can't fall asleep so I'll play some video games
Till I see the sun crack and know I've stretched my reigns
In the morning I'll tap out them alarms one at a...

Escape
We fought to see the sun again
Fought to see our loves again
The decision was unconsciously made then
As we waited to greet death as an old friend
The pain was so deep we thought we would give in
Fear great enough to overwhelm in the end
But the fresh air taken in those first few seconds
Was all we could think of in that pit of oppression
Right words spoken in the depth of madness
Sadness and loneliness used as weapons
Turning into what would most likely succeed
Get out get out
A mantra playing in the back of our feed ...

What I See
Since I was little I'd personify objects
From dolls, to plants, to personal projects
But not in a way all the little girls did
Instead
I'd try to reveal the meaning each thing hid
I'd only notice the inanimate arbitrarily discarded
I would think of how they were cherished before they departed
Or the amount of happiness that once belonged
Love was weak but only one could move along
And so the world spins around sustaining unworthy people
Who burn pieces of life to build something feeble
Buying...

They trust your innocence

Do I see scripts where there are lines
Do I see Star patterns where crumbs aline
Is this fear that rises within
A warning from our ancient kin
In their skin
Now my DNA
Do I listen
To the warning they
Convey
And if I do not
Will I be surprised
To find the sun
In tomorrow's sunrise
Will the burn
In my eyes
Be mine
My crime
Or should I blame the world
For not warning in time.

I always heard the ticking
But never saw a face
Smelled beautiful places
To be denied a simple taste
The beckoning
Of both time and space
Held promises
Always meant to break
A hunger made me face
That I was never to see
To never appease
Hell
To never feel you breathe
So kindly
I ask,
Let the spaces fill
Give faith that the hands will
Push forth what would otherwise
Be still
Give the future a small taste
Perhaps an ocular treat
Or maybe ...
But never saw a face
