The shore

Treading water for some time
Wishing I could fly,
Fly above it all
Barely keeping a float
Raise your head to the sky embrace the time that has arrived

Formed into an apathetic individual
Whether I find shore is miniscule

Veins secreting a smell of desolation
Slowly alluring an infestation

Carnivorous beast
Presuming I am a feast
Closing in,
trying to catch my wind

Strength comes from within
Reserves being used
The fight of my life

This cannot be
I will not die with suffering
These sentient beings
Unleash hatred things

I continue to swim
Faster than before
Quickly seeing the northern shore
I out swam the putrid man

Reaching the peak of my life
Slowly mesmerized by the tides
Sitting on the bank
I give thanks

Reaching my goal
I take hold,
hold of the sand
At last I have reached the land

Slowly searching
Never lurking
This simplistic state
Has chosen me to begin its fate

For the shore is you
I've been swimming to conclude,
Conclude my wretched life
To severe the ties, end my lies

When I reached the shore
I found where I need to be
Its getting down on one knee

To politely ask you to be my dream
Turning it to a reality
Heaven on earth been searching since birth
Laying my head in the sand
Keeping you close to my heart
Without you i could not start,
Start my life a new
To be the one chosen by you
