reckoning
Sadness sings to me, in need of recognition
a quiet melody of pain
all the things I ignore, well up in her
a malady of depression
my thoughts seek my soul
my soul is detached
it can't connect with the day today
the rain comes and the skies darken
and I get confused in the clouds
my darkness stutters
an aimless wanderer
going where the wind blows
lonely feeling, empty
there is a shadow over my spirit
it is a fascination
my mind delves into its deepness
black as night it utters enchantments ...

She's gone
It was cold, very very cold.
I went for a walk with misery in one pocket.
In the other, my dead wife's golden locket.
How confused I felt
holding sunlight in one hand
and darkness in the other.
Onwards I walked.
Fists clenched against the truth or the cold or both.
" It will do you good " they said.
But it didn't
for I wished that I was dead.
But I wasn't
I had a life to live instead.

Deeper Underground I Go
I can’t count the number
of poems I’ve expelled
beyond the busted seams
of experience
As if those seams could keep
the poems from my voice
How many emotions
were galactic tapestries
unraveling from a solar plexus
storing so many lives
How many verses reflect
the present
versus the ghosts
of a former century
And yet,
deeper underground
I go
The trick to navigating
the bowels of the beast
is not succumbing
to illusion over...
of poems I’ve expelled

To a man or woman leave a man or woman, that's not yours alone 🤔 I say that to get you to think and understand, that there is a true differences, between a good woman and a good man. WHO believes in having, a strong relationship with someone, who doesn't have to cheat or lie for they have a real relationship with honesty and truth and trust.
