Moth Halo
cloud assault
like lightning and lightning
like a box of chocolates
too much sugar in the blood
too much sugar in coffee
too many gods for faith
water falling from the sky
water falling from the sky
water that does not wait
to fall from the sky
water that doesn't stop to fall...
There were birds,
in my childhood days,
heard: swallows.
I remember them in the backyard
while he chewed what came to hand:
weeds.
Birds over my head when I was little.
I'm much older now
and the birds seem to have...

Headache Sharing
Have a headache
Want to share it with you
We can suffer together
It will be half staff, half the pain

The Present
“Okay class, I need everyone to stay in a single line, and do not touch any of the displays. Is that understood?”
“Yes, Miss. Rainey.”
“I wish my class could be more compliance,” her co-worker stated.
“I loved coming here when I was younger; my father use to make this a weekend event for my mother and me.”
“How romantic your father was.”

Succubus
Again the night follows the day,
And again I am next to you.
Silent as a Shadow
Torture with a passionate stare...
Again my power over the body
You suffering from the burns.
No longer caring...
You wanted this?
Once again captivated by beauty,
The aroma of perfume intoxicates ...
Again it seems: in Love.
But the vision will again deceive.
An uneven beat of the heart is heard,
You are breathing deeply, hotly.
My body is closer, closer...
So alluring and shameless!
Only in the morning -...
And again I am next to you.

To My Future Grandchildren and Their Children
(and Their Children’s Children)
My grandfather died shortly after I was born
And my father passed away when he was sixty-eight
We don’t know how much time we’re given on this earth
So I’ll tell you a bit about myself now that I’m forty-eight
I’m sure you heard from your parents I was a band nerd
But when I went to college I put my music skills away
I mean I killed (not to toot my own horn) I was really good
But ignoring my passion left me dejected and vague
I majored in business wanting to make a lot of money
But the funny...

Unfolding the veils/ Rabia of Basra
In a Persian garden levitated by air
lay a seamstress awakened
listening
sadder than Demeter
pouring tea
bleeding into steam of the kettle
she enters a pale paused second
he never read her well
all the novels unread
pantomime
Rabi’a
fouth born
asleep upon stone
wise among the wood
My legacies
a reed mat,
a pottery jug
I am woman
through feminine
faucet
not a wife
nor in ways ...

How did our spirits intertwine so deeply that my heart feels now half of what it once was
I am grasping for the lessons you taught me
I have prayed with my heart and my whole soul to find you
You come only in dreams
Dreams where i travel without baggage
and you are kissing my tears
You understood my wild and my tender darkness
You made me see
what I couldn’t see
when everything was clear.
I am searching for the beautiful words for our story
And yet I can’t (probably never will) find the words to define us.......
I want to burn...

Zombie love
A blasted storm on the highway
In the middle of March
The last thing I remember
Is that huge trailer in our face
At the hospital I was told that our car
Tumbled down the hill
My dear husband, the love of my life, did not survive.
That was not acceptable
I called on my dear friend Amanda
A Caplata witch
We went to the cemetary cript
Where she recited incantations over the wrapped body
Soul and body were reunited
My darling was revived
Anew in this world.......but also not.
It scares me
Yet I want to be with him ...

Rhymes With You
If I could sing, just one song
I would sing it for you
Soothing, so that your eyes close
and allows me to take you
-As my fingers raise
the crescendo of lovenotes
that are no longer just murmurs
My lips would pose
as a promising kiss
on every word that rhymes with you
And my impassioned song, inspired
as my soul lifts me higher
It would reach you, there
inside to where your heart receives
my vocal verses of truth
aloud, and increasingly passionate
Our love song would be on yellow paper
Like...

Ignite My Heart of Fire
I feel your breath on my skin
I hear your heart dance to a timeless rhythm
I long to discover the truth within
To see the beauty that has been kept hidden.
-
I desire…
-
I sense your spirit call out to me
I take in your essence so heavenly
I aspire to reach the divinity
To be embraced by the forces of infinity.
-
I yearn…
-
The stars, they shine above
A cosmic kiss so bright
My soul rekindles deep within me
The summer days are gone
The starlight’s radiance has dimmed
I’d give up my life to rest in...

Poetique Reserve
Spiraling dreams become fetus
Unraveling quasar apparatus
Utterance of a spell cast
Vast threshold unsurpassed
Darkness in a brash flash of light
White with possibilities
Painting a canvased sense of sight
Absorbed into pitched sensibilities
I feel your nimble appendages
Over the keys setting the possibilities free
Disconnected from passages
Through the past reconnected in the distillery
Crystallized in amber illuminated
By an internal eternal fire
Meeting with other fires fated
Ever...
