Every moment
With every breath
With every beat in my chest

The tears fall
The pain overwhelms me
The longing grows with every moment

Different Lights
You've got me in a daze, trying to figure out what's up from down.
Confused and afraid to even turn around.
I would hate to lose sight of what I finally found.
These years without you, I've realized how many times I almost drowned.
You really got me in love, that you truly do.
I was about to give up when God sent me you.
My future is in your hands and I bet you have no clue.
I understand a lot of what it is that you are going through.
I have also walked those same miles but from a father's view.
Just one more reason why I want to do right by you. ...

The Meaning Of Loving You
What loving you means to me.
Are answered prayers and real life dreams.
New starts to old beginnings.
The existence to keep on living.
Wishes coming true that were once made.
And hope that seems to never fade.
Stars that streak across the sky.
Pennies flipped into pools of lies.
Four leaf cloves in fields of green.
Dandelions that were blown by me.
Horse shoes and lucky charms.
She loves me peddles and never nots.
Cosmic sparks of life to start.
And the continuance of a beating heart.

the subtleness of wantonness is as unsubtle as the sobering rain
that blesses the receiver, as it sweeps his humble hopes into the drain.
for this same cause must i take pause to anchor hope upon a higher plane,
that when the deluge comes, my pains of yesterday may slay me not again.
the kindness of all kinds of friends who occupy my person and my space
