Contemplation and escape...
A thin trail of coffee aroma touched her soul strings.
And the rays of the spring sun played in a light haze in the quiet of the apartment.
In the soft foam of the airy drink, she built her castles.
The smell of coffee, caressing her thoughts, carried away far from the earth.
Dreams of happiness swirled over her, making her forget about the world and herself.
A cup of coffee in itself embodied a sensitive trembling, exciting fear.
And in a pleasant woody haze, taking a sip of fragrant darkness,
She wanted to become invisible, not to feel the severity of the roads.
So that invisible and incorporeal, and airy, like those clouds,
She flew into the distance of heaven, to infinity ... gentle and light!

Ah yes! I have had my second as well. A very nice medium roast that smells divine. Getting lost in my thoughts is hazardous but I spend a lot of time there. And a lot of time trying to get out of there... Love the BIG LIKE. ☕☁️😘

Indeed, the serenity of a Sunday morning cup of coffee is sacred. It sends ripples of inspiration through my mind. I think it's about time to hit the pool and get some vitamin D. Much love and light to you always Ron. ☕☁️😘

The coffee break escape – the daydream to a less stressful place. For that moment, no responsibilities just enjoying the caffeinated energy pouring into you. The biscuit from the counter, calling you, wanting to be dunked and immersed in your hot steaming brew, the combined bitter sweetness savored on your tongue as your mouth closes around it. Consuming its decadent nourishment.

You know I will Francisco! :) I made several cups of a really lovely medium roast today. No fancy machines, just a ceramic grinder and a French press. ☕☁️😘

Oh girl. I am craving my usual hazelnut coffee. This was filled
with such flavor and drifting aromas. Great metaphors in this of escaping
into that cup. I'm on my way right now to fix me a cup after I give you
hella snaps with this write!!!
Have a great Sunday evening KX!!

Dear K,
Well I hate to crash the party as a tea girl but I will say as usual you bring it with fabulous imagery of those moments of bliss that only these cuppa’s can provide. There is such a sense of civility and peace in each cup. Really enjoyed this lovely write. So glad you’re back! H🌷

I am so happy to see you Honoria. :) It's not a party until you get here. 🎉 🥳 I have been doing a lot more tea too recently. My Mom is more of a tea person. I love that you could share a cuppa of whatever your heart desires with me. Thank you so much for the love. :) ☕☁️😘

I too have written of this elixir, Just called, "Coffee" As I am on my second cup the first was with my morning prayer and devotionals, I find this the best way to wake up with the Lord and His blessings. One of them being the morning coffee. wonderful write

A coffee break is a break from something. It seems like coffee has a place from morning to night. That something seems to be crowding into, barging into our lives more and more.
And that break is brief. Which makes coffee all the more special.
There's that hot, blistering first sip, and that eventually cold artifact of a thousand interruptions. First things first. Utility. Practical stuff.
As if coffee isn't the most practical thing. It's gotten so the things we're breaking from push until we could soon end up without its life affirming properties.
We need coffee to get us time to think our way through what we're breaking from.
It's human nature to overwork. It's a spiritual exercise to see empathy for our human selves.
I drink coffee just before bed. Caffeine helps me sleep. French vanilla creamer and a mild brew.
Soft wet creamy cups of sultry cuddles are just the medicine to break from a hard day's work.

A break from so many things, perhaps everything. It would seem there is always something barging in and crowding into our lives. I have always been told I need space and it is so true. So often in my life it was taken away and I find myself suffocating under the constant pressure.
I always savor the ritual of my morning coffee.
Still... as you say, there is so many interruptions that try to steal that moment away.
Coffee is a universal truth that spans the globe. Thank god it's healthy, well in moderation...
Let's not speak of overwork... not to mention my OCD - I had the worst perfectionist streak growing up that I had to learn how to reign in. You can spend 10 times the amount of time trying to achieve that last 10% of perfection.
I cannot drink coffee before bed. I would never sleep. For me, organic black coffee and I love experimenting with all different kinds from around the world.
Ooooooo.... Now that has sent my mind reeling with thoughts of... <censored> ☕☁️😘

"And in a pleasant woody haze, taking a sip of fragrant darkness" I love the way that sounds. I'm not big on coffee, however, once a week or so when I have a cup at night, I get that snuggly calm feels you wrote here.

Hey Kathy with a K (us K's have to stick together :p) Cardamom and sweetened milk sounds great. I do like Turkish coffee with cardamom but generally I drink coffee black. I love taking that journey into the dark. :) Thank you so much for reading and giving me your thoughts. xoxo ☕☁️😘

Outstanding write Kristina. For a second I thought it was for a comp about coffee held some time ago. Either way, I feel like you really expressed the fleeting thoughts, relaxation and enjoyment of it all. Too many times I'm in a hurry and don't get to enjoy a cup myself, rather I'm just drinking it for the caffeine I need. I like how you took us there, to those little dreamscapes before the day starts.
Bravo.

Ooooo I love outstanding, you are too kind. You know I avoid comps but I will definitely take that as a compliment. :p To hurry a cup of coffee is a sin and you must be punished. Perhaps that is what you wanted after all. I am really good at torture... A couple of cups is healthy. A French press and some organic beans is all it takes but a cappuccino or latte is great too. Personally I like to enjoy the true taste without cream and sugar. Cream comes in other ways. Sugar too. ☕☁️😘
