He invites, he incites,
in His presence I delight
Of my sin, he will cite,
making me feel, contrite
His forgiveness, makes all-right
His spirit will ignite,
to my feet a lamplight
His truth brings insight
through day and thru night
His word is finite
not a byte to rewrite
with worship, I recite
While, my spirit, He holds tight
In the world ,I see a blight
as many lost their sight
for their souls I will fight
not to be impolite
nor of pride, or of spite
not my...

I need Your direction please
Starting the journey, not sure where I am going,
So many others in the same direction, it must be OK?
Disoriented, wandering,. Wondering, is there a way?
The worldly map has many different ways
Should I ask for directions? but who do I ask?
I am lost! Many signs point to 'prayer'
Lord please guide me, my way is obscured
It appears, I've gone astray
I submit, I can not save myself, may I follow You?
Thank you Lord for allowing us to travel in Your presence
Thank you for guiding us along Your tracks
The tracks of truth and...
So many others in the same direction, it must be OK?

It begins with Jesus and ends with Jesus
Coming in to a broken humanity
Living a perfect life, that we could not
Being our sin bearer, He conquered death
Death could not hold Him
Begin here, He is our doorway and the path
We declare Jesus is Lord, and submit we are not
We cannot save ourselves for eternity
It is not that we make a choice for Jesus
The Gospels, help us understand our God
He has made a decision about us, in Jesus
Calling us, to make a decision about that Love
Then when we say 'Jesus is Lord'
We surrender to a knowledge given by The Holy Spirit
So 'in the...

Pause and Be Attentive
I am suffering from an affliction
Wanting to he heard
To Pray and lift my voice to You
not harking to Your word
My mind it moves so swiftly
from thought to thought it goes
even when I worship You
It would be better if I slowed
To focus my attention
on Your voice instead of mine
Slowing down for some reflection
So my heart with you align
Lifes busyness carries over
Is this more effective?
Checking prayers off of my list
is awry and ineffective
The grace behind this privilege

Lets get the Hell(evil) out of here
God gave us a world that was 'Good"
and perfect was His plan
In the garden it was heaven
until the fall of man
Through our own desires and free will
we gave evil a chance to thrive
Lust, pride, and anger for each other
we saw how sin became alive
The scriptures though not simple
are full of the redundant fails
history is not a pretty place
man has tipped the justice scales
Time and again we see Gods grace
His love for you and I
Generations of our unwillingness
to ask forgiveness and...

Give It Up.....
I have some secrets, you do too
Over our lifetime they accrue
Some are silly or make our cheeks red
but most of that, is in our own head
Held so long they sometimes ferment
they might weigh heavy while we lament
Unloading to a friend or a mate?
someone to help release that freight
Brings some piece and regain identity
gives perspective and a little serenity
Its not that big or quite intense
with someones help to make some sense
We do not want to give another distress
we must choose wisely to who we confess ...

Did for me what I could not do for me
His likeness, male and female, became on the earth
to be like Him
Beautiful garden, all Gods glory, we were given dominion
Temptation came and we fell
The sub human level of corruptness, and treating others poorly
not loving our neighbor as ourselves, continues to this day
As foretold, the Messiah comes and takes our sin
He brought it, without guilt, to the cross to save our souls
Counting on our very fallen nature to carry this act out
To accomplish the fulfillment of Gods word
They/us, not expecting Him to rise on the third day ...
to be like Him

These day are precious,
Holy Spirit posses us,
please forgive for our sins
this life will pass,
but your love will last,

When the end is near
of one we love so dear
we pray to You for comfort
with mercy and grace,
Jesus please embrace,

LATE NIGHT RAMBLINGS
Her world is so small now the size of her bed
Dots body, her tent, giving way to her death
The ailments so many, her spirit still strong
wants no water or food now, her time is not long
We care and we pray, her moment at hand
maybe hours or days, for her time in this land
one of her four offspring, preceded her in death
she cared for in sickness, until his final breath
Her daughter (my wife) gives love and devotion
leans into lord Jesus and not her emotion
Dots siblings, there were 8, she made final 2

Shape me and build my temple, from your grace and majesty
No rocks to chisel, wood to hew or curtains of tapestry
Fashion my soul, with delight in Christ, and give a thankful heart
for not a hammer, saw, or tool of man can in me play a part
My edges very rough with sin, polish and prepare me with your hands
with trials and tribulations, Jesus, please build me from Your plans
For as the sculptor makes his creation, we do not have the choice
You saw us through your loving eyes, with your perfection we rejoice
for when its time to call us home, and we are...
