Slacking as a warlock
Inattentive to the moon and stars
Altars crumbled, and candles melting down
His witch manifests patience
A spell check for his endeavors
His attempts to ward off demons
Frantic mumblings in the wind
His veins popping, the progress of snakes
But so far all for naught

Yet he acquires the precision of a Taoist priest
Arcane gestures, forbidden words
Chanted like a prayer
Concluded with a threat
The conqueror worm quails
Murmurs "au revoir" and hits the road
The sorceress and her minion exult
Disregarding the most malignant dark
Until further notice....
