I started writing again in 2008 after a long drought, and recently started writing again after feeling no inspiration in anything. Love is my specialty, but I write other types of pieces as well. It's all raw and straight from the heart.

To Be. Too Be. Two Be.
To Be. Too Be. Two Be.
To be with the one you adore
Most in the world
At the moments that matter most
Is what the heart desires
But is not always what
The heart gets
Too be doing the one thing
That brings you the most joy
Creating moments that matter
Is what the soul needs
But is not always what
The soul gets
Two be as one
Bringing each other closer
To what the heart desires
& what the soul needs
Are moments that we share
& why I’ll always love you
To be with the one you adore

Time, Heart, Love & God
Time oh time
You surely have flown by
But thanks for the wisdom grown
And the patience to give true love a chance
That I may never have known
Heart oh heart
You are the center of it all
Keeping me honest
Loving and ever true
Never letting go of hope
Even when it was hard to cope
Love oh love
You have grown deeper still
Roots even more strong
Seeds planted in good ground
Tilling your crop with all that you know
So when the harvest is ripe
You reap what you sow
God my God
You know just what I need

Longings
These longings never seem to fade
I’m left here in a daze
Eyes in a distant gaze
Unfocused
Wondering whether you’ll return
Tears flow uncontrollably
Heart always so heavy
Well never seems to run dry
My heart aching
Wonders why
Why I still feel the warmth of your embrace
Still feel the linger of your presence
In every single space
Why I still hear the timbre of your voice
Why God didn’t give me a choice
Oh how I long to taste your kiss
See the twinkle in your eyes
The love they held was pure bliss
The aroma of you still...

I Am Passionately In Love
I am passionately in love
More than ever before
It’s been a long time coming
Longer than I imagined
He is my consolation and my penitence
My whisper in the wind
There is such a tenderness between us
An energy that cannot be compared
A love that cannot be denied
I offer a word of gratitude to God
For being able to know what love feels like
All the things that once held me bound
He has allowed me to make bail
I feel more free than ever before
Love has dug her teeth in me
And won’t let go
And I don’t want her to

Dear Forever,
I love you. Period. No commas, hyphens, or semi-colons. I love you with no pauses or reservations. I love you with no filters or walls. This is a rare love, one I always knew was possible, but never knew I’d experience in this lifetime with a mortal. You are air. Fresh air. I breathe in your energy and I’m at peace. You allow me to be myself, flaws and all and you still embrace me. You love me distinctively isolated from others. No other love compares. You bring a joy to my world that no one would understand. Heart Stash
He found my stash
Years and years worth
Of exchanges
Emails and texts
I thought I hid them better
He said no one could be as perfect
As I appeared to be
I had to have a secret hidden
Something no one had privy to
To be so open, so vulnerable
So in touch with my emotions
Once he read my poetry
He asked who the muse was
I told him it’s not really one person
It’s a mixture of different people
Different things really
Anything can incite my pen to write
But I knew he didn’t believe me
He said no one writes love the way...

Stranger In The Wind
I saw you standing there alone
Deep in thought
With the whole world on your shoulders
Eyes looking for the solution to a problem not your own
I wanted to go to you
Place the palm of my hand on the side of your cheek
And whisper softly in your ear
That everything would be alright
I wanted to kiss the fullness of your lips
And if but for a moment
Take away the cares
And the worries of your world
I wanted simply to hold your hand
And walk you into a place of rest
A temporary escape from your stress
To a place of peace...

She said
My tears have finally stopped flowing
I can no longer wait for your declaration
Your declaration of love for me
Your eyes say that what we have is real
And I know your heart feels the same
But your mouth has yet to declare
That you can’t live your life without me
That I’m the one you want to go to bed with
