Blue Jean Sea

Wondering if you’ll hold
A breathing note you can fold
Stuff in your Blue Jean Sea
With deep pockets and frayed edges

Of white trickling foam
Weep and seep your salt into me
Whitecap crests like hands
Too heavy to touch a beach sun

Fingertip tides so high
Raise me into your water palm
From miles of haunted shoreline
Erase my sunken footsteps

My black hair will be your keratin cape
Cloaking each drowned living memory
My soaked lungs will help you breathe
A sigh of relief in each denim wave

I’ll ease your Blue

From all the lost souls
God didn’t take

Author's Note
Inspired by the song from Heart - Soul of the Sea

For some reason it took me to a place of how people get been lost at sea.
A sea of heaven in a way - but not wanting to be one.
