Sun Beam

Hanging on a prayer
Replacing things that aren't there
Weight pressing on my chest
My spirit needs to rest

Avoidance hopes to stall
Doom from the upcoming fall
Inhaling everything compressed
Good Intentions make a mess

Building on a prayer
Replacing all my broken stairs
So I can climb up high
Stream with the sun across the sky

Engulfing me
Carrying me
Leaving all my weight
Beneath me

While I’m hidden within a
Sun Beam

Author's Note
I hate doing yearly physicals!!! But I gotta bite the bullet
and make one soon. I can avoid things till
the bitter end - then finally I will cave. LOL
