I’m not an educated poet by any means, haven’t read the volumes of classic poets, I possess no degree, am only guided by heart and my pen… Anyone who respects your pen would be grateful for your remarks or anonymous like, alike 💫

Please please please don't feel intimated by the wannabe 'poetry gods.; Poetry, for the vast majority, is about emotions, life's fuck ups, emotions & the human heart..... Iambic pentameter etc are mere trimmings.

I am deeply thankful for ANY and all forms of like /list/or comment. It's all very much appreciated, without judgment. I am long winded and drone on and on... Sometimes, overzealous (and totally uneducated) because I'm impassioned, which leads to my mish mosh commentary. So be it. I might sound silly or ridiculous but if I feel it, I like to express it. I do work on editing myself and paring it down, all the time!!...ha ha. I get what you're saying, I'm just the other side of the coin with my plethora of word salad being 'too much', at times.  
I'm a serial windbag... lol

There are many times I read but do not comment simply because of time limitations. I do try to comment when I can because I enjoy the camaraderie and the opportunity to learn and grow through feedback. I have no formal education in poetry except an online workshop I attended at the beginning of COVID. I have a pretty thick skin, so if there are negative comments I take it with a grain of salt.

This upsets me so fkn greatly because this is the legacy of elitism and poetic snobbery. And it sucks. Big massive donkey dick.

I have to agree with Rob up there — you don’t need a fkn degree or have your finger on the pulse of Keats to be considered a poet. And I echo Blue up there that I appreciate any comment I get. I’d much prefer somebody told me how they felt, or what memory it triggered when they read my poetry than if a comma is in the wrong place.  

Fuck that. Fuck that to all hell.  

Something Hemi said in his podcast interview has stuck with me ever since I heard it, and that was when he said that he saw a boy that had written “why doesn’t my Father love me” on the back of his wardrobe and if that wasn’t a poem,
He didn’t know what was.  

There are no rules for poetry. You write whatever your heart tells you to write. You feel whatever your soul feels. Fuck everything else. You do you.

You could just say the normal stuff that comes to mind, and not worry if some of it's gonna be (or gonna be perceived as) dumb shit, even if it sounds like dumb shit to you it might just be the comment which makes someone else's day , you never know. I mean, we're people. We flap our lips while exercising things inside our larynx and sounds resembling thoughts we just had come out. Sometimes it's legitimately dumb like everything i ever have to say!!!!), sometimes we're just being overly critical of our selves, and sometimes we're just worrying that the recipients of our noises will be critical.     
        
But it doesn't matter. We're all just trying to communicate, and as they say...you know..."As long as you're trying your best..."...right? Most of us are just happy to receive any old comment, 'cause it's just a joyful, simple little moment ... "!!Oh! Someone has communicated to meeee!  And sometimes conversation proceeds from there and sometimes it don't -it's up the the moment, and to the context, and to each of us as the participants to decide. And either way it's all good and doesn't matter. It's just attempts at speaking, and for shy people (like meeee) and/or very sensitive people it's sometimes really hard, but it can be rewarding too  
   
BTW, hashtagunicorns, just like real unicorns, are the best things!!!! And they'll exist if you look hard enough  <—Stupid thought blurted out thoughtlessly number nine million, twelve and a half.

I've often found I don't really critique poems rather comment about why I like or how it resonates with me. I do tend to throw out the rules of poetry, that and my affinity for rhyme give me a certain freedom. I recognize that everyone has different styles and approaches here, and that's what I like, that's what I like about your works too, you're able to say a lot in brevity and leavings us to ponder.
