Tidal Thoughts
life dragging its feet
want a shroud for a sheet
every dark notion
devoid of emotion
reached my limit of use
hanging around is just abuse
everything crashes
leaving nothing but ashes
in this silence
touched by its violence
shrieking voices
ever shrinking choices
overwhelming exposure
keeps me feeling unsure
no holding back the tide
or these thoughts of suicide

what can't be controlled
then rage
swells as a wave
free spirit
only in dreams
still chained
to the past
haunted
by pain
takes love given
twists it
in the darkness
for crushing
any heart
has power

the solace

or even a knight
just a poor vagabond
nobody of note
an unkempt runt
i see the lights
the stars
a whole sky
within those
sad eyes
take my hand
as enpires fall
gaze past what is shown
so much more
in this beart
no promises
of diamond and pearls
just the truth
of a loving heart
given to you
offer refuge
to heal
arms to cradle sorrow
a shoulder to lean on
a soul to know your pain
