Years Later

Years after school
After all the drama
I am happy
I am truely smiling
Truely laughing
this isnt ocassionally
its daily.

i met a guy
someone amazing
from all the years of feeling worthless
i now feel like a million dollars..
i feel i am able to live
to keep on going

im proud of myself
i have fought the battles
i have won.
i am on the path of success now
not a downward spiral of depression

of course i still have the depression
but its not as bad as the years through school
now im happy
now im living life

i dont cry myself to sleep anymore
i dont cut my wrists
i dont think of suicide daily
i beat myself
i made myself live
and i won

years into the future
