Where Is Your Laughing Smile

I see you all upset and stressed,
That's never happened before,
You always are the happy one,
Leftover smiles to share,
Dancing, laughing, messing around,
And hardly any time left to get sad,
But their words leave you in distress,
And cloud your rays of happiness.

You're brought down by their words,
Once choice you regret in the past,
The cost too much for you to hold,
He just will not let you go,
You loved him once upon a time,
And never will again,
Yet his grip was too tight,
And loves you forever more.

Everyone says to love him back,
To take his hand once more,
But he is not your match,
He doesn't make your heart soar,
You refuse his love with soft words,
But no one cares about your heart,
Please him! They say,
And yet they don't listen to your sad implore,
I don't want his love anymore!

I watch you and I start to frown,
Where is your laughing smile?
What have they done to your heart,
And why do they ignore it so?
Though I see sadness in your eyes,
Not a tear is found,
But you tell me your secrets,
I keep them and I say to you,
Your heart is your own,
And no one can use it against you,
Unless you let them.

I wait by your side,
Until this feud is over,
For I am your best friend,
And you are mine,
And together we help eachother,
Up the hills of life,
And soon I hope your laughter,
Will return happier,
And your heart a smiling fighter.
