Collage - A New Calling

Yes! There was an art form to paying a bill before cell phones. Balancing check books, writing a check, filling out the slip, adding a stamp & a return address. Those days are gone. Your collage & poem work beautifully together. A nice mixture of old & new coming into one. GREAT!!

They still send me an envelope so it has become part of a time gone by.  I refuse to go on autopay with too many things so I still make the call monthly to pay most of my bills.  They want you to be complacent and just pay but somehow I don’t trust them …

I’m planning for a life beyond traditional work I’ve done my whole life.  Been working since I was 8 years old.  My father had a store and I became part of the work force at an early age.

Mixed media collage used to be one of my favorite mediums! Especially for 'found things'! I'm drawn to the bottom. It reminds me of ameba for some reason.

Yes,  I really like the process of merging forces.
The gluing part is a little tricky but I’m getting the hang of it.  I’m cutting up paintings i for that did not thrill me but still have redeeming features.

I really had fun making this collage.
It’s giving new life to bits and pieces that had no homes.
It is like making love.  It’s a part of my life where I answer only to me.  Thrillling in a sense.

I'm confused, PS! Hey but I just realised that's quite normal these days. I just hope I meet & find someone equally as muddled as I so that we might travel happily along a straight line. That don't work either though... as the great Elvis once said... "Without a song, the road would never bend."

A collage is kind of the same.
Taking pieces that wouldn't ordinarily fit together and merging them into one voice.
