BROKEN PROMISES

Nothings promised tomorrow today
In the moment
As the breeze awakens the dreary leaves
And the bamboos sing their song
A look touches her desires
Everything is spoken
With nothing said
Tales of stories told
From places nowhere found
Two meet secretly
To witness first handily
What could never been dreamt
To experience a hope of love
A promise of security
Forgetting the world as it turns
Together
A promise with no regret
Or thought of regret
Hands caress a cheek
Fingers through hair
Eyes locked in suspense
Lips tip to touch
Passionate squeezes
To sounds of passion
A roller coaster ride
Bodies tied in ecstasy
To an explosion of pleasures
Sipping the moment
Forgetting time
And as two ships in the night
Bodies pull apart
Hands grasping on to what could have been
Not wanting to show her weakness
She won’t turn around
She’s a woman of strength
Independence
Not needing another to complete her
But still
Her eyes welled with drops of vulnerability
Caged by her wills
And again
She looks back
And yells with no voice
He’s now too far to hear her heart shout
And yet again
She braves the weathers alone
Easily accepting a next beautiful tongue
Being trapped in fantastic fantasy
Never again
She promised
Until the next perfect man comes along
That makes her think of tomorrow
Today.
