Good deeds, good seeds........
So, not a poem as such. I was about 45 when I figured it was time to do something positive, constructive or go crazy. So I started learning German. With the help of Deutsche Welle (on internet) and an excellent German grammar. Even that eventually I was even able to offer help to German visitors coming over on the cruise ship AIDA.
I also visited Germany many times, Berlin and Munich especially and over the years (I am now 71) I brought back maybe 200 or 300 novels (in German of course) which I then just gave away. Pretty much like the Larousse motto: ''je sème à tous les vents'', hopefully plantings little positive seeds here and there................

Interesting write robert. I like that some of us reinvent ourselves and expand our current knowledge. It really is refreshing to learn something new and help others.

I think that was a life saver for me. And even with this covid we are now allowed from Canada to travel overseas ''for essential travels'' but what the hell. I go to the hospital for an operation...as whole week, possibly. After that (if all goes well) I say fuck it and head for Munich- Berlin for ten days.
