Truth spoken indeed nicely done brother...respect

I don't know about other areas, but the thing that disturbs me most about this pandemic is the number of gun sales, and amount of ammunition that are flying off the shelves here. I mean, what are they arming for? You can't shoot this thing. We have a couple local restaurants here that have voluntarily closed to protect people, but they're having periodic online ordering that people can pick up...all proceeds to go to their staff. That's the kind of monetary assistance that makes me proud of my community. The stimulus is going to help a lot of people affected by this pandemic, my sister and my daughter among them. We're socially distancing because we don't want to endanger the ones we love...and we miss the hell outta them. The government...so full of self-serving and greedy bodies...the lies stink all the way out here in the midwest....bleh

People are buying guns here too. Not sure the point in that is. Though the thing that worries me is the lack of talk for essential workers. Especially for the nurses and doctors on the front line. But not just them. There are people much like me that still have to work. I'm surrounded by people, maybe even more so because I'm considered essential. I think there needs to be more talk about how we are gonna keep the essential workers safe. Because if they aren't safe then this thing won't get better.

On a personal note: I feel like I do all this stuff to keep myself safe. I won't even eat out at this time. The only person I'm willing to put myself around is my wife. But it's like what's the point when my job puts me in harm's way? It's a scary thought because I'm also immunosuppressed. Though what scares me even more is I have family that are sick. Two of which have cancer.

I understand that fear and it's very justified. My daughter and sister and I are all part of the essential work force as well. I'm the only one of us who has the option of working from home much of the time. And every day that my daughter has to go out there and put herself in the community, she's terrified she'll bring it home to me. I'm afraid it's going to get very ugly before it improves. At present, my state has an F grade for social distancing and trying to curb the spread. My city alone has a D grade. My daughter and I went out for dinner on her birthday on March 13th...and haven't gone anywhere but the grocery store since. I tend to self-isolate naturally so the isolation component doesn't bother me so much. But the fear...that's another story
