short poem about life

very inspiring with mind thoughts to think about for that is one way to look at life through the eyes and life of a slug, for life will never be totally perfect this kind of set me in the mind set of the animals in the forest and in the wild, that live upon this earth for man is has slowly destroyed land once untouched by man only by nature...nicely composed

Yea, I think I’ve lived that “ slug life” lol...

We all want that dream.. dream of more.. bigger.. etc. But I wonder if it's reached. For some it might . Some will accept the life they live, when they live it. As it is.. it's a nice piece, one that makes you think. Great read!

I never knew slugs were so popular for spills
& to use this as a motivating metaphor -- wonderful !!

I used a snail in 2 spills in very different context and i thought i was being different

Someone shared with me a romantic spill by a known Poetess and she used a slug (i think)

    nice write. what comes to my mind other than the slug personified, is the vulnerability of this. slugs are nonthreatening, in any way which is good as well as not so good..due to its surroundings in its environment. I like how the picture shows that the slug has chameleon characteristics.... ultimately; the concept of this poem makes me think of the animated movie called Antz....

A simple life would be heaven, I think

I didn't think of slugs very positively but now...
Inspiring write up, life might never always turn out as we hope and it might never be perfect but at least there is a garden to look forward to.

The slugger was reaching for the dream other slugs dream of and talk about. Like us we desire things that we hear and see others talk about. When we arrive in that garden of bliss it becomes normal and gorge on the best life has to offer until the predators come. Then it's a fight to keep what was gain or given. A fight work fighting for.

Frankly speaking, slimy slugs look definitely scary, and I would never use them as a poem topic.
However, the one you wrote is so inspiring that it makes readers pause and ponder.
I like the connection between dreams and vegetables. I do love vegetables.

This is amazing. It is so simple but yet still so beautiful. We all are slugs trying to make it. From the obstacle we hit that slow us down. Hiding from danger. Just hoping to survive. This has a deep connection to what it means to be a living thing.
