soft cushions in the sky

there are cushions in the sky, soft squidgy balls of fluff
the cotton wool threads are in a mesh
kept together by the sticky heat of a summers day
white doves, gatherings of snow melting for all to see
just how beautiful they really are
peaceful , calm, angels with friendly flapping wings
hovering high, keeping a watch on the world down below
without understanding, just a misty eye'd view
people are confusing but the green grass naturally speaks back
a similar reflection , blanket of a different shade
the clouds get lonely when they are seperated
inches or footsteps away from another needy cloud
taunted by the green lands, wishing to rest ones lonely feet
or hold hands with another needy cloud
cushion like, spongy and soft, can the birds rest their little feet without falling
a thousand feet below, do observers see calm, happiness and peace?
forgetting the clouds loneliness when seperated from each other
a shade or two grey and all of a sudden people sigh
but who will be there for the blanket which cries?
crying and releasing plentiful tears onto the green grass
a basket for the overthrowing of pain
the cloud is grateful for the ability to cry
grateful for the ability to rain when full to the brim
because without that ability she would be incapable of healing
