emotion's a vortex
swirling around
there is no escape
before we each drown

pulled by its power
drawn by its force
resistance is futile
excepting, of course

when we let go
and as we relax
the rhythm of breathing
fills all the cracks

more than just feeling
turmoil and pain
there's warm and appealing
transcendent rain

bright intuition
mind to mind thought
awake while still dreaming

to flow in each moment
