The Sermon On The Mount II ( the sequel)
Blessed are the poor, they remind us of our ability
to do anything it takes to avoid being one of them
Blessed are the meek, for without them who would we
be able to bully, who would become our doormats or footstools
Blessed are they who mourn, they remind us its better to be happy
whilst thinking ‘rather you than me’ about their loss
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice, for in this life
they will never find it unless they can afford to buy it
Blessed are the merciful, they allow us to consistently use and abuse
them without facing the consequences of our actions
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they don’t exist even among those
who consider themselves clean of heart
Blessed are the peacemakers, for, they will claim to be peaceful
Whilst supporting war, murder and terrorism
Blessed are they that suffer persecution, for their place in life is there
because we all need somebody to kick to deflect consideration of the truth
whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
All men and quite a few women therefore are going straight to hell!
whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also, if he slaps your left cheek
take him as your lover or stomp his lungs out with a pair of golf shoes
You cannot serve God and a wooly mammoth.
So it is written, so it shall be done.
I am The lord your god
and don’t you ever forget it,
don’t make me come down there and get medieval on your ass.
Amen, Awomen, Aunsure, Aneither
