New Meds
The pharm rep delivers these
The little helpers in free samples
A fresh formulation, newly approved
Only a few lab rats now dead and gone
The 'scrip says in smallest doses
Minimal side effects assured
Just take a half-tab, watch the mirror,
And pray that there is naught to fear.

I'm glad we got to catch up today, I've missed you.
You know I know this so well, and understand why it's expressed in this piece by you. We are well met, my crowfly friend. And that image you picked is perfection!

Thanks Jadey. I've missed you too. I found that pic on Google but couldn't find anyone or anything to credit. That guy looks a bit like Ralph Fiennes, doesn't he?

Yes, but it's more drug dependent me. Being hooked on legitimate meds doesn't make it much less of a problem.

I have so many thoughts about this. I've personally been affected so much from drugs. Well done. Very inspiring.

Thank you Jadedembers. Sorry to hear that you've been so affected. Maybe one day we can do without, at least the nastier ones.

Now you're just scaring me. I reflect on almost every pharma ad where the adverse side effects are described in legion compared to the benefits. " Not recommended for those who are pregnant, have heart disease, or have ever had a mother or father." Bravo Sir Crow!

Me, I should read more carefully. It's just that all that fine print is daunting.,

All those menacing messages of what may result from swallowing the meds that are meant to" help"..not "harm" you! Seems like you're always at their mercy....a regular 'damned if you do, and damned if you don't ' situation-- to ingest the pills!
My friend...this piece is spot on! Indeed..keeping close watch, and praying there will be nothing to fear!

Thank you Enchantress. It's a REALLY tough call, the decision to take or not to take. At least with prescription drugs. They can be particularly insidious.
