Deep Underground Poetry is Closing Down

This news is bittersweet. I am sad that the site is closing, but glad it is doing it on its own terms and same as it ever was; an eclectic oasis amongst the changing chaos of the world.
I am honoured to have called this place my internet home for my heart, for many, many years.
If the answer to prolonging the site is money, then I'm sure many of us would rally round to raid our pockets and piggybanks.
Though if this is the end, then let us go strangely into the night!

All good things come to an end. Couldn't get any more poetic.
I'm really sad to see this place go. I've been here since as far back as my journey of writing began and I've always found solace in wading through the vast collection of expressions and vents my eyes could have gazed upon.
The secret escape is no more.

I'm so devastated right now. I can't think straight. I have made so many friends here and have no other way to communicate with many beyond DUP.
I want to save my poems. How can i save them?
Can you send a mass email to members who have not signed in? They may not find out until it's too late. They may come back if they know.

Hey folks, check out the thread "New Home for DUP Members". Many of us have found a place to land.
Also, I was wondering if Webmiss has considered alerting members by email about the closure? I have occasionally gone through long periods of being away from DUP... I would be shocked if it vanished while I was away without warning!
