Dandelion Seed - An Expansion in Hereditary Vocabulary

 --------------------------------

Oh how I wish I could be
like a dandelion seed
beginning with the root
with a radical radicle
an antitropous locus
where the shoot
takes acute route
away from the hilem
[the seed coat’s scarred mark that didn’t fall far,
from the tree - rather where it fell from the ovary
of the plant from which it came]
that’s held over me all the same

the same rotary rosary
I whisper in my poetry
that places all the blame
on the hilem
for placing me in this phylum
[where I feel - beneath kingdom, above class]
constructing me with this xylem
vascular nourishment made of broken glass
conducting silent guidance
from roots made pliant with self-violence
self-constructed insane asylum
that keeps me broken open
yet somehow overflowing
with urges flowing through my phloem
wholesome moments stolen
thanks to a lonesome pandemic

Mapped -- cartogenetic phylogeny
pathogenic homogeneity
refusing to admit to frailty
or vow fealty to any deity
and always fail to see
the nexus -
series of connections -
between God, the cosmos,
and our stiff-necked perplexions;
existence
isn’t
an adventitious
reticulation of our speculations
no matter how articulate our ululations
but rather lubrication for adulations
we should participate in

So perhaps, I do not wish to be
[though antitropous] like a dandelion seed
whose spicules float about randomly
but whose roots grow so rapidly
tap-rooted deep, yet vapidly
perhaps, we'll see,
I hope to be granted amnesty
from the catastrophe of my ancestry.

I realize some of the terms can be rather difficult to understand, even after googling. If you're interested enough in an explanation, I'd be happy to expound in comments or private messages.
