good morning brenda:  a beauitful, brave and very smart poem.  yes i agree...sledge hammer hands and words are distasteful and not seductive at all.
a woman needs to be cherished and you did not find this in him...so you wisely move on with heart and mind...BRAVO!  {{{hugs}}} so much energy and emotion this is a poem to be reckoned with.

Crim, this is a very intelligent and tender write, revealing your vulnerability with courage.  It's an eloquently plea, with what I take to be an admission that you're not the hard case you create in some of your work.  I keep thinking about the title.  "Passion For You No More" could mean that all you wish for right now is friendship rather than fire, erotic or otherwise.  You strike me as a complex and brave woman, and a truly fine poet.  I hope whoever you're addressing does finally read you and come around to your request for friendship.  If not, I believe you have plenty of others.

We like relationships because we can work for them but when we miss that point, we work for all the wrong things and lose interest. It happens to me all the time. Like their reflection is a bad reaction on me... or was that the other way around. ;)
