So the infowars subscribers are having a field day again. Conspiracy theories and their adherents have already wrecked enough havoc, some still justify Christchurch massacre as a necessary evil.
The skepticism of mainstream media may be to extent a healthy thing, but too much of a healthy thing can actually be detrimental to one's wellbeing. The conspiracy theorists thrive on people's primal fears.
Hope sanity prevails.

Corbett report corona World order.
Interesting points raised in the report, saying we need a decentralisation of power and counter economics

This.

(Seen all kinds of lazy logic lately, most notable is that “5G towers locations overlaid on map of covid 19 cases” thing. I could do the same thing with doorknobs, or vibrators, or dog kennels. Dog kennels cause covid 19? No, you fucking numpty, communications companies put towers where people are. Lazy thinking, paranoia, media outlets owned by media moguls who are pushing their own political agendas....it’s a fuckin’ mess)

Return of the luddites

Still if lazy thinking is all you’re capable of, that or mystical belief systems grounded in the same static dogma that infects hard right religious zealots then you end up with a cluster fuck

https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/in-a-normal-day-145-people-die-in-new-york-city-last-week-coronavirus-alone-killed-217-in-nyc-a-day%3f_amp=true

So if corona virus is being over reported where are th extra bodies per day coming from?

The other thing is the lack of deaths and hospitalisations directly correspond with social distancing and lock down measures, note I did not say correlation = causation however those that delayed in these measures ended up like Italy and Spain.

My hope is that the more draconian laws are written in with Sunset clauses however they are at the moment protecting a lot of people from themselves or others that don’t take this seriously.

The numbers are still climbing but dismiss the evidence, dismiss the claims and it’s all a sham. I’ve listened to most of the counter argument clips not all, and the cases being made don’t correlate to the bodies stacking up in systems that are overloaded.

There again I’m in place that only had 419 confirmed cases so I’ve been relatively insulated from too many disruptions, and my business is still able to operate however we use masks, hand sanitisers and on site social distancing measures for all employees and our showroom is closed to public except by appointment and we have a 10 point checklist before we allow a meeting at the showroom.

The op-Ed acknowledges the potential for shoddy numbers at the end of the article...

Yes. The number of bodies is indeed a pickle.

(In a situation like this, managing it, data must be king....health professionals will be focused on the trend, not daily individual numbers. In the absence of every person getting a test to confirm cause, and with the disease following a very well described  last few steps to death, you tell frontline health professionals to make a judgement call on cause of death, and you use this imperfect data to estimate overall trend. Some people make it sound like dudes are coming in with a chainsaw sticking out of them and the doctor says “looks like another case of the ‘Rona boys”. No conspiracy, rather expediency in the face of limited resources.

There are 2 kinds of people: those who can extrapolate from imperfect data, and.....)

I have no idea....still just bangin’ rocks together ‘round where I live.

(If I yell everything I think is true while standing in an echo chamber, all I will get is agreement. “echo chamber” = “internet research”.

We are hairless apes who get dopamine from affirmation....the algorithms find our tribes.

It’s a fuckin’ mess)

This is the post that Avahati said she addressed in her most recent thread. Although we have yet to see her respond to this.
I had said in the original covid19 thread that if I am wrong I will put my hand up and admit I was wrong.
Sadly day by day those of us that have been calling this what it is are being proved right. This tyrannical faschist beast rears its ugly head more and more.
The numbers and statistics do not add up. CDCs labeling of COVID-19 deaths, even if suspected but may not have caused death. Is a gross misrepresentation of stats. Why, why would you need to do something like that, if this virus was as deadly as had originally been claimed we would see a much higher death rate.

Would someone explain to me why pennsylvania property management division would need 500 grenade launchers

d00d. I'm not even subscribed to this thread, have read nothing in it, other than initial posts to support the thread-starter.  I've had no interest since then.  Had I not received a message I still wouldn't have known Josh responded to me in this thread vs messaging me since my previous thread was closed.  So, you take your assumptions and clean them along with your own dirty pot for calling the kettle black.

Want me to list how many links and/or responses of mine you've ignored compared to ONE I wasn't even aware of? No? Okay, good.

I'll message Josh in regards to his response. You carry on your "campaign".

Interesting read Kumar, seems straight and to the point.
On the same page was a lead to an article on 3 countries opening up a bit (Denmark Czech, Austria) https://www.vox.com/2020/4/10/21215317/coronavirus-europe-lockdown-denmark-austria-czech-republic

I think the mass-media has thrived on people's fears for decades, churning up a diet of death day after day, year after year - and that's in "normal" times.

So I agree with you, I 'hope sanity prevails' too.

my opinion :

I kept an open mind.  things didn't seem to add up. I read an article which was written by  Taiwanese  doctors  who had a theory about how it started. it went thusly (paraphrased)

the CDC shut down a laboratory attached to a US based. it was considered too dangerous. soldiers  from that base went to China to take part in a soldiers games world cup. they would have stayed in Wuhana  and visited the market etc  and therefore brought the virus by an accident

kinda plausible-ish

To be honest, I listened to Ike onna couple of platforms. I'm of the mind Chomskey has a much better understanding and is able to articulate it

I think it's a good thing people question everything and watch the hawks etc . there is a danger  people who do it may find themselves  attached to some fragments of truth

I keep saying this,

there are those with exceptional understanding of psychology. it is used against us all the time in every day life when we buy things, or think of buying things . nobody can be complacent.

I think, with the greatest of respect to everyone. we all need to be vigilant of what we allow ourselves to invest in

I think it's a given that governments lie to us. most media favours  one thing or the other.

I go out sometimes, mostly in the evenin when it's a ghost town. I keep my hands in my pockets and wear a scarf (as in profile) I'm allowed about a thre km walk

I'm very careful in shops, keep my distance and dont touch anything I'm not buying, head home. I dont want to be the cause if someone dying.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Hemi terms of governments. have to watch how long they hold onto their emergency acts

just on a different note. if this issue runs into an us and them thing we've all lost

please continue

I am not wanting a battle , Kumar...

And I respect you , and others , who believe like you ,
with concerns for family , friends , themselves , and
society as a whole , that they have chosen to create...

For me , it is just a look at a larger "crap shoot" , or
roll of the deadly dice...we all are going to die here ,
( on this plane of reality , anyway ) so what is the
big deal ?

So what if 10 % of the planet , human animal at least ,
dies , and moves on in their journey ?

Great , overall , on the strain on the planet...

Perhaps it can tale a momentary break , or not have
to "work as hard" , or maybe other species will get a
minor break from human dominance...

I know *that* is only wishful thinking and dream ,
yet I can not see why humans value their life the
way they do , over other species...

We wipe out so much of the natural life of the planet...

Now we get wiped out , a little...that is fair...in my mind...

( and yes , I have family , and yes , it would be a bummer ,
if they died...but I would be happy they were on a further
journey , once they left this world... )

We all have different ways of looking at it...

Me ?

Hmmm...just spiritually checking for loaded dice ,
before whoever takes the next roll...;)

Best to you all , and all your "family"...

( just perspective , that is all I am adding )

The problem with reductionism to just numbers, is that the 10% who die might not do so without fear (so their sojourn on planet-Earth might be largely wasted) --- and also their loved ones left behind have to deal with the trauma of not being able to say a proper good-bye because of new 'corpse-disposal' rules.

Concerning the planet's tit-for-tat with humans, there is truth in what you say but not in the 'war narrative' (which is what caused the problem in the first place, ie: the human science-technology project to conquer Nature), rather that we have ceased to treat all the planet as sacred and in so doing the planet as a living entity responds in an optimal way, even if we cannot understand the complexity of it.
