Hi my name is amanda I love writing it is a great release for me especially since I am a recovering cutter.  I started cutting when I was 12.  I have just recently stopped and I have to say writing has saved my life.  after my nanny got sick I started cutting.  she died almost 6 years ago.  when she died I started to cut more and more and almost died.  my shrink told me that I was a great writer after she saw a poem I wrote and said I had a talent for writing stories and poems.  it has been a real life saver for me.  I was raped by my dad when I was 13,  so I write about rape and cutting I hope when I submit something no one calls the police.  so thank you for letting me join underground poems.
