Autumn in Phoenix
Vibrant reds and yellows
swaths of orange
streak the sky
in a valley of millions
sunset air pollution
at least its pretty
brisk breezes of Fall
crisp red apples
earthy cider wafts
of cloves and cinnamon
hay rides under warm blankets
seasonal pleasures
enjoyed by those further north
glad at least some get to experience them
this time of year
is an arborial fashion show
change in the air
the promise of snow
but not here
and I'm...

it's how you fell em
falling over and over again in my heading down those stepping away for a minute from the facts
appears stranger than diction

a broken scene seen from a bald sky
life slipping away like porcelain
broken branches
scattered origami flowers
tired cuckoos circling around trees
reality disappearing into the whirlpool of a blackhole...

Empty Trees
The setting sun made the final clinging leaves
shine like dangling red jewels.
The scarlet shimmer infused my imagination
with creative fuel
Trees are not like people,
they don't feel empty.
Why do we grieve for that
which cannot be retrieved?
Barren branches know.
It's so much easier just to let go.
Creation always finds a way to grow.
shine like dangling red jewels.

We be mere autumn leaves
Autumn leaves falling in drifts
Flying with the will of the wind
The brown confetti from the trees
Fall aimless to the ground
You will be as them
Old brown and discarded
To the ground you go
And be interred
Flying with the will of the wind
The brown confetti from the trees
Fall aimless to the ground
You will be as them
Old brown and discarded
To the ground you go
And be interred

a peaceful ride
life threads past the foliage
and i submerged ride on by
red faded
against the backdrop of blue
I stop spinning and stare
caressing the bed upon the ground
her chill invigorating
true scent of restful coming thru
i picture, in this moment,
movement
of more than just the leaves
dancing before me
seduced withn the wonderment
of a ballad filled afternoon
the hush of the wind speaks
I'm captured but you don't really know
as loneliness (the lioness) lifts her head
to the autonomy...

I
June
opens her
eyes...
butterfly
wings
fluttering...
scenting
the breeze
with summer
II
Tide of
stars
in sky
She/he is
a bottle
of saki...
her/his plums
intoxicate

Hegiras
Words exchanged
falling dominoes
the sound
crushing
silently sullen
Visibly & hidden
decibels bouncing
from ears to eyes
Egos reign
in this teeter-totter
Push-me-pull
Tears fall
broken hearts
Quiet nights
& a din of
I DID NOTHING !!
Drinking poison
solidly waiting
for……….
** apologies **
They never come & now filled of a dark blue-green ink wither and hitch a ride with autumn leaves,...

Was listening to this and out came this
Please listen while reading, Thanks.
Pixies & fireflies hide in plain view
beneath a midnight sky tucked
underneath a Harvest moon
Yellow and orange painted leaves
dispatch and wave goodbye
with no sound to be heard
when passing by.
Raindrops fall and shift gears
washing death away another day
soon another year
loves dying...

The Frost Lioness
Winter Waits for her time to bite
A crouching Lioness
In frozen winds
Belly to the arctic waves
Starved and waiting
To strike at the painted land
Painted by Autumn's golden Hands
She Preys on those
Without a future
Without a past
A crouching Lioness
In frozen winds
Belly to the arctic waves
Starved and waiting
To strike at the painted land

Autumn Bride
Autumn Bride
Tresses like the currents
In a dark autumn river
Tied around the bend in a bun
Pastel rainbow circles her blouse
Round yonder bosom
Where night sleeps
Midnight spandex
Hugs her hips
In the muscled strength
Of a Selkie who shed her seal skin
To roam the Irish glens
On a human husband quest
Her voice a mystic song
That echoes ethereally
In enchantress lilt
Echoing on shamrock banks
Of rivers of lore
Where her barefoot shimmy
Signs the grassy knolls
Tresses like the currents
In a dark autumn river
Tied around the bend in a bun
Pastel rainbow circles her blouse
Round yonder bosom
Where night sleeps
Midnight spandex
Hugs her hips
In the muscled strength

HASTE THE SEASON
Autumn's nature comes
Warm colors that wakes trees trunks
Fallen leaves some runs
Months prepare they care
The sun torments against flesh
Humanity's bare
Enjoying summer
Ready for a cool calmer
To glimpse Falls primer
Traditional trees
That gently root to leaves
Transitions tinges
Orange-yellow browns
I love how each leaf falls down
Ecstatic around
God a true artist
knows his hues earthy...
