smokey earth
Colors randomly burst—

flaunting
burnt orange
brownish blush
to ravages

Crisp air

Autumn Smile ( Watercolor)
2 months
No Painting
Temporary creative void
Lately an urge
Continued to wait
Finally the moment
A rush of feeling
Brushes dancing
A painting is born

Fall, with Open Arms
Round here, the summers are brutal
Today it was One-0-Eight
(That’s 42 to some of you)
It’s so hot your skin can fry and bake
‘Round here, summer starts in April
And sometimes lasts past September
Why did I move to this place?
Dang it, I wish I could remember
But once the season changes
And the sun has a new position
Something magical happens
I begin to have a sunnier disposition
The cool breeze brings bright memories
Of my college years, of freshman days
When youth and opportunity seemed endless
When...

AUTUMN/FALL COMES - NUDIST'S LAMENT
The leaves are falling off the bushes,
There'll be none left to hide blushes
As we walk, hands on middle crossed,
To salvage the dignity lost.
When it gets icy and slipping,
It's too cold for skinny dipping.
Frost at extremities gets nipping,
Ambles are turned to skinny skipping.
Our summer tans will fade away,
Leaving our skins a fleshy grey
Unless we've cash to fly away
Where tropic suns still heat the day.
There'll be none left to hide blushes
As we walk, hands on middle crossed,
To salvage the dignity lost.
When it gets icy and slipping,
It's too cold for skinny dipping.
Frost at extremities gets nipping,
Ambles are turned to skinny skipping.
Our summer tans will fade away,
Leaving our skins a fleshy grey
Unless we've cash to fly away
Where tropic suns still heat the day.

Jagged Pirouette
A meditative line
designed
to find
the new forms of the soul,
Inscribed/infused
into
the
vibe of the scribe,
Ambrosia wine
imbibed,
from
an original vine,
Medicine -
for
this
trying time,
Where there
is
no
time to die,
No time
to
lie
Beneath a leaf
Falling
From
The
Sky.

Where Poesy Resides
Where Poesy Resides.
Oh! how the view is seizing !!
When the sun is rising
And the Earth is praising
The Beauty of the lord
When Summer is blazing
And the heat is dazing
Cheerful cicadas sizzling
Arpeggios tunes on the cord
Flat meadows where lazing
Herds and cattles grazing
Sheperds never stressing
Keeping zen eyes on the herds
And then comes Autumn
Acid and sour like lemon
Bearing a languid boredom
A dirge sung post motem ...

Selene
In late summer quadrature
She rose at midnight in the east
In a propitious overture
Of clouds becoming moonbeam fleeced,
And I will tell you strait and true
There is no finer orb by half
To ever hang in midnight blue
Or decorate a spectrograph.
And now she's decking heaven's hall
Just as if she owned the place
And was anticipating fall
To drop down out of outer space
In a medley of moonlit forms
Like meteors and thunderstorms!
She rose at midnight in the east
In a propitious overture
Of clouds becoming moonbeam fleeced,
And I will tell you strait and true
There is no finer orb by half
To ever hang in midnight blue
Or decorate a spectrograph.
And now she's decking heaven's hall

Autumnal Breath
She isn’t known for a most pleasant breeze
her long claws can be razor sharp
her blustery kiss is measured in degrees
and sounds not like an angel’s harp
with a wave of her hand she raises the dead
the colourful corpses flutter about
for All Hallows’ eve holds no dread
compared to her tempestuous shout
balanced on the edge of an ice knife
summer now lies so cold and quiet
Autumn’s sullen shouts scurry away life
and leaves behind an eye catching riot
you push ever forward though you be bent
so stay strong...

Tree Party
Autumn is one big rowdy party
All the colours play their part
One last hurrah before descending
to the monochrome of winter
Green is the host, calm and responsible
preparing food
cleaning the house
setting the stage for celebrations to come
Months of preparation
Golden yellow brings conversation
cheerful smiles
bubbling banter
sharing life’s moments
warmth and friendship
Casual contemplation
Orange strolls in with lights and music
electric energy
frenetic fun ...

The art of the craft
In the quest to unraveling, an revealing the understanding of the unknown, venturing into the realms of the forgotten knowledge and ancient wisdom of old, heading down paths so cold in different directions, with no warmth or any heat to help comfort the soul, yet we persevere forward in pursuit of power and control, some sort of reassurance or even a strong hold, over the art of the craft, performances, pictures, artwork, books, films, even stories have been told, yet even within science and math all done seeking to acquire to master the art of the craft.

June
opens her
eyes...
butterfly
wings
fluttering...
scenting
the breeze
with summer
II
Tide of
stars
in sky
She/he is
a bottle
of saki...
her/his plums
intoxicate

Pure Magic
There’s magic in verses I write while mists
Spread in the valley that we overlook;
Were not my incantations gently whis-
pered in the thoughts I gathered that you took,
As you took me last night...

Were not my incantations gently whis-
pered in the thoughts I gathered that you took,
