PURE HUMMING BIRD JOY (PURE HUMMING BIRD WAY) (11-24-2024, Palm Springs, California)
upon reopening my eyes
after only twenty five minutes
this morning
of my perfectly imperfect
as usual
sitting in stillness
zen meditation
where now here
in these first few moments
of my heart centered
peaceful
open being s
return
while serenely
looking back out
with all my senses
and heart
now more widely open
at this newly unfolding
beautifully flowing ...

ONE HEART (II)-(newly revised, much longer, expanded revision)
ONE HEART
BROKE SLOWLY
LIKE FALLING LEAVES
THE OTHER
SHOOK COLDLY
YET CLUNG
TO THE TREE
HERE LATE
IN THE SEASON
OF THEIR
NATURAL FALL
WITH WINTER S
DEEP CLOSURE ...

Ease of Autumn
In Hills where the mist meets the gold of the trees
Lived a Bavarian lord, with a heart set at ease
The chill of the autumn had kissed the bright land
And the fruits of the season were ripe by his hand
His manor stood high, with its windows aglow
Scent of the harvest crept soft through the snow
The vineyards hung heavy, the apples were sweet
The fields rich with pumpkins lay under his feet
With a laugh in his throat and his stein raised high
He welcomed the dusk, under crisp autumn sky
His dunkel was poured, dark and full...

the past re visited
the past revisited
He was going back to his home in a tiny village from
where people congregated living close together and professed to hate it, the absence of war had cost the country dearly, and unemployment was high, like the enforced idleness had made people apathetic
there were no cars on the road, petrol was too expensive
for people, as was electricity to recharge batteries
how the situation was in other countries, no one knew as the fabled internet was forbidden
it had it was said
a bad influence on the young who believed the rubbish ...

A matter of perspective
The time has come
to reframe my thoughts about Autumn.
Plenty of friends say they love it
but I view it with suspicion
due to impending darkness and drizzle,
the start of the school year
and the end of
everything which seems positive and light.
So I’ve decided to try
that grounding technique they teach you in therapy
to help calm you down,
only I’m doing it for Autumn instead.
Think of five things you can see,
four things you can touch,
three things you can hear,
two things you can smell
one thing you can...
to reframe my thoughts about Autumn.

Lughnasadh // Shards of Summer
August 1st, Lughnasadh. The first harvest. The first feast. I laugh with the summer’s heatwave that leaves the rain a distant dream. The first harvest of autumn’s coming, the first harbinger of winter, the last night of true summer gracing my skin. So I shatter a window and collect the glass shards of the last sundown of summer. Before the leaves change colours, while I can still be myself. Before the fog rolls in, before my rainbow turns to gray and the bitter chill ahead. I peer into the looking-glass shards, and the light I see may yet still hold a trace of the warmer months.
I bake...

Autumn Turning Winter
All over autumn leaves have fallen.
Mountains that were colored like stained glass,
now, from far away, are mostly gray,
the color of limbs, branches and trunks.
And here, close by, the leaves of autumn
lay brown on the ground
having become work for the rake and its owner.
The forecast is for rain, then colder weather is moving in
like the murder of crows that lives near by, but visits often
as though they were a band of bored neighborhood kids
going from house to house looking for mild mischief
or just something to do. ...

Midnight Walk
the air fills its icy lungs,
huffing at the tartness -
disrespected once again
by Winter’s lack of regard
for personal space;
my old brown boots
scraping salted pavement,
their hollow voices
echoing
- always getting the last word -
against cheap siding
lining these boring rows
of hastily-built garages
every experience has value
wise words
from a wise friend
Pain teaches me mercy;

Russia is Getting READY For the BIG DAY !!
I want everyone to know what will happen soon.
RUSSIA will bomb my country so it can take over the world.
To prevent us from retaliating, Russia tricked the USA into disarming - over the last 35 years.
Our arsenal is so small now that the KREMLIN must be ready to "press the button."
But GORBACHEV (still in power behind the scenes) will NOT get
to enjoy his victory for very long - only "5 months"(Revelation 9.5,10).
For CHRIST has prepared for this event (nuclear war and the take over
of Western Europe, as well as the re-taking of Eastern Europe.

Nature's Girl
For Kamela
Nature’s girl, you’re a masterpiece of the Creator.
You came into my life just in time.
I’m glad that God made you as a complement of me.
Every time you smile, the sun shines.
And the rain pours when you cry.
Cannas bloom each morning you awake.
Your love renews magically as the seasons change.
Tamed red pandas savour in your caress.
Nature would lack beauty if you weren’t here.
Whenever I look at you, I see natural beauty.
You speak as someone singing a melodious song,
And the sound of your voice comforts me. ...

Livers lose
A concious state of mind
Mind the step don't miss it
Freedom from a numb sadistic
That dense state of mind
or mind of the state
blast it I self actuate
self-afflicted crimes astray
Sinister sins a sinister gate
And somewhere I'm immaculate
Where my legs been?
Deep until the pegstand
cut off the legs been
Reality or realty
they're squealing for cash
and feeling the rash
A gradual disconnect from this, really
And though I missed them
what answers best, I do confess
I miss remorse,...
