Transition
A lone snowflake glides stealthily
through the late autumn mists,
scouting the barren territory
for the incoming invasion force
It floats to the ground
& fades into its surroundings,
reporting to the commander of the white army --
"the enemy is unaware of its imminent danger"
Additional squads of glittery commandos
leap from their silent aircraft
& link up at the scout's position
as the tension mounts
Suddenly the distant treetops disappear
behind a thick curtain of parachutes;
Wave after wave...

Fall
.. When a rain of emotions
falls on the city.
Only the bravest
do not open their umbrellas ...

Small fall of walls
the fall
the endless fall
the fall of the walls
the fall of everything on the walls
and the walls that fall
create piles of rubble
like any other wall
that will eventually fall
the walls fall down
mostly fall on the shards
of the walls that never fall
in the endless fall.

autumn fires
shine,
lean against
my inspiration,
dance
like the wind
at my windowsills,
rush, those
quick steps,
choose again
little breathless
moments,
now fading
into memories
as
autumn fires
turn to
distant ashes.

Poetry, Nature, and Beauty
In the vast lands where the spirit finds freedom
Where the mind can, its deep caves, fathom
Down by the tall rocks that go up into heavens
Flowers in row, with dewy beads, are woven
Here the spirit can stream like deep river
And the heart can throb better than ever
The eye can fill its orb with life's beauties
And the ear to hear the elements' ditties
Nature's music chimes with forms that vary
And shades of paints fit the smell that carry
Shapes round or long, tall and some...
Where the mind can, its deep caves, fathom
Down by the tall rocks that go up into heavens
Flowers in row, with dewy beads, are woven
Here the spirit can stream like deep river
And the heart can throb better than ever
The eye can fill its orb with life's beauties

Autumn
I love those days when autumn’s dawning,
but with a gentle hand
Jack Frost stands on the sidelines,
awaiting his part in the plan.
Green leaves fade to orange & yellow,
& vibrant fiery red
Starry-eyed lovers stroll hand-in-hand,
harvest moon glows o’erhead.
The north breeze hints at things to come,
rustling softly through the trees
Squirrels stock cupboards with nutty stores,
birds take flight on seasonal journeys.
Dig out the fuzzy sweaters
to stave off the evening’s chill
Dig out the cocoa &...

eternal hope
Eternal hope
In the ditches of a sandy lane where I once lived
tiny etherical bushes sprung up overnight
Brilliantly green as floating in the air, they were
born by the wind and were a child’s first dream.
As dreams, they didn’t last long, a week at most
one night they flew away, a fairytale untold.
At dawn, before other animals awoke, rabbits
sat hearing a whisper of time aeons gone.
In burrows or in homes, the dream appears
often in the form of a lullaby, we call it hope.

[AU]tumn
The leaves spin over the roadway
As I am blown home on hurried winds
The stores and walls stained yellow and orange
The houselights seem to struggle slightly
The cool shadows heavier than usual
My body warms itself over
In the way that it does when it's colder
The breeze pulls the heat away
And I flicker like a candle flame
The tree limbs look grayed, fingers,
As they contract to brace themselves for the cold
I go inside.
