At the Beach

One day at the beach along the coast of the Jersey Shore.

There was an In Shape Man and an Out of Shape Man.

The In Shape Man said to the Out of Shape Man, “Look at me I am tall, strong, tan, graceful & beautiful.”

He went on by saying, “Look at you, your small, ugly, pale, weak and untidy.”
The Out of Shape Man was hurt by the remarks. He knew he wasn’t fit, gorgeous, or tall. It took him much longer to gain courage and talk to anyone let alone a girl. He had no self-esteem.

Girls flocked over to the In Shape Man. He would flex and show off his physique to anyone looking his way. His arrogance was too much for some.

A little while later some guy came from the other end of the beach looking for his girlfriend. She disappeared for a little over an hour.

This guy saw the Out of Shape Man standing on the side of the pavilion alone. He went up to him and said, “Have you seen this girl?” He pulled out his phone and showed her picture. The Out of Shape Man said, “Yes, I believe I did.” The guy said, “Well Where?” The Out of Shape Man said, “Over there, near that guy that has a circle of women all around him.”

The guy left with anger in his eyes. As the guy got closer to the In Shape Men, he realized his girlfriend had her arms around his shoulders. As though he was going to lift her up on his back and piggyback her along the shoreline. The guy had zero tolerance for this crap. He already had run-ins with the law and with others that would cross him the wrong way.
He broke open the semi-circle that was surrounding the In Shape Man. His girlfriend immediately jumped off his back. She looked at her boyfriend in fear and cowered over to the side. The In Shape Man said, “What’s your fucking issue dude? I’m here having a good time. All these ladies are enjoying my company and love my physique.

While all of this was happening, The Out of Shape Man saw the commotion and headed down towards them. He didn’t get to close, but he made sure that he could visually see & hear what was going on.

The guy did not say a word. At this point all the girls dispersed, and it was just the guy and the In Shape Man near the shoreline. This enraged the In Shape Man as he lunged towards the guy. He missed him.

The guy took out of his swim trunks a switchblade knife. The In Shape Man tried to pull the knife out of his hand, he missed, and the guy took the knife and lunged it deep into his rib cage. A shriek of agony echoed across the beach. The guy pulled the knife out of him and stuck him again, this time right into his neck. This slowed down the In Shape Man. He fell to both of his knees, withering in pain. The guy for good measure then took his fist and hit him right in the face about three times. By the time the police and security came around, the guy was gone. Everyone on the beach just looked and stared in disbelief.

As the paramedics came around to assist the In Shape Man, the Out of Shape Man walked up to him and said, “People who have no respect for others and are narcissistic will pay the price sooner then later. You got what you deserved.” The Out of Shape Man walked away and left the beach shortly thereafter.
