Lay Me Down Gently
Words can no longer describe
The feelings I have inside
Each moment a passing glance
Around the words that dance
Upon my skin as you breathe into me
I know this is the way it has to be
As you work to ease the pain
From the words that hurt again
Each time we argue the topic broadens
The atmosphere in the room darkens
The only way we know how to stop
The conflict now happening around the clock
Is for you to pull me in
Your hands grabbing my chin
Kissing me deeply to shut me up ...
The feelings I have inside
Each moment a passing glance
Around the words that dance
Upon my skin as you breathe into me
I know this is the way it has to be
As you work to ease the pain
From the words that hurt again
Each time we argue the topic broadens
The atmosphere in the room darkens
The only way we know how to stop
The conflict now happening around the clock
Is for you to pull me in
Your hands grabbing my chin
Kissing me deeply to shut me up ...

People hey
People say....
This and that without thinking straight.
People chase....
effortfully till they meet dismay
People crave
For more than need-to-be-take
Then people play
and pray.....
for fun-filled days... and creamy cakes
People late....
Always wanna be on time; please don't keep em wait
People wake.
Quit dreaming great while still awake
People stake
Their heart for miragelike castle in Spain
And next, people create.... this messy space....
For their desire to proliferate
Without realising...

Fight like Gods
A mutual showed
me your picture
without consent
I couldn't help
seeing the rage
hidden inside
scorched desert
running down
half of your

back to the day

down with rain
hitting each leaf
before it finally
touched the soil

man and his dog
Man and his dog
He awoke under the bed it had been his birthday
drinking champagne, eating Danish pastry, and smoking Havana cigars
He walked into the kitchen, opened the fridge took out
a beer, which he thirstily drank while wondering why
everything was so quiet
The maid had been in when he slept and everything was in order; when did the guests leave, or had he partied with his teddy bear, being lonely since his dog died
Looking out of the window he saw many cars, they had
no drivers and some had open doors as abandoned in haste, but what had...

What's inside
Open wide that trap.
Let me know what you think.
I'm attached to your trap,
and what comes out of it.

I Should Have A Warning Label
A hot-plated branding iron prodded his chest,
I repulsively marked him with the beast.
Rope keeps sawing his wrists and ankles,
I cackled as I let the rats out to feast.
Razor sharp teeth pricked his raw flesh
as I dashed salt upon his wounds.
His legs flung in the air, he let out a scream,
but I have him trapped in this iron womb.
I start to reach for my black sewing scissors
and began to cut the garment from his groin.
He flinched as he saw me inch toward his skin,
I plucked his manhood into fresh tenderloin.

Ice Scraper....
The little things of life,
are the Mosaic of Eternity.
Crookedly laid, obliquely marked.
Random puzzles are roughly fitted.
Eternal truths look like dogmas.
It will endure and sweeten, or else.
There is a time for every moment.
Everything that is not given will become desires.
Puzzles will be put together with gravestones.
The little things of life hold the pieces together.
Someone with a rose, someone with a club.
Crookedness is straightened, truth is crooked,
and in Eternity they will draw closer -

Looking to Retire
I write about sex a lot
Mostly dirty, I admit
My world screams through these pages
Sometimes I’m just going through the motions though
I’m bored as hell
And I wonder why I’m even doing it
I wonder why I still crave it
I wonder why I try to deny myself it
Then lunge right into the fire
Without looking both ways
I’m giving myself lots of space these days
To try to figure stuff out
I’m a work in progress
But sometimes I’m just looking to retire
Mostly dirty, I admit
My world screams through these pages
Sometimes I’m just going through the motions though
I’m bored as hell
And I wonder why I’m even doing it
I wonder why I still crave it

But sometimes I’m just looking to retire

You’ve Sent 10,000 Postcards
Each and every one signed the same
I’m still here
Why then does my heart still ask
When will you be back again?

whose fault
Whose fault?
Youth is the time we make mistakes, we regret
and before I say anymore, why have I never walked
into a murder scene like Hercules
I have not met anyone I love as much as you
she said the woman who lived in the lake
who at full moon caught trout with her bare hands
and had a bosom as generous as her love.
Oh, mirror, so high up on the wall, she was right in what
she had said, the world was mine
I danced by the candlelight lit by my vanity
Her rowing boat was found in the fjord,
had gone out fishing for...

Encumbrance
Encumbrance
By Michael McManus
Beneath the relationship’s weight he falters and strains,
Assuming a miserable burden, laden in a constant Gregorian chant.
Looming large, his presence, for her, a heavy hindrance,
An added load to her daily trials, and his.
Amid this suffocating hold he craves their liberation,
To discover a route where freedom's light flickers,
To demonstrate beyond this oppressive form's span
There resides a spirit sturdy, resilient, sovereign.
Portrait of the heavily hindered. Soft pastel.
