Image for the poem Scent

Scent

in gardens where sweet roses bloom
a fragrant tale of nature's bloom,
there lies a secret, quite profound
in a smelly rose, beauty's found

amidst pink the petals' soft embrace,
a scent emerges, fills the space
a dance of fragrances so diverse
in every fold, my tongue verse

the aroma, sometimes bold
like stories yet untold unfold
with undertones of musk and spice
in a smelly rose, love's precise

but do not judge it by its scent
for even when it's heaven-sent
the shape reminds us of life's braid
in beauty there's moisture inlaid

so love a rose, smelly, sweet,
in gardens where a root they greet
for in the scent a world's composed
where love and beauty are disclosed
