Stars

I am captivated by the stars,
I observe them from afar
and wonder if my wishes
ever reach them.

But now I am in awe
for the void in my soul
has been filled
and my whispers have been heard.

The stars are flickering in my eyes
as I mouth a silent "thank you"
because the stars have brought me you,
the greatest star of all and I am in awe

She is half of my soul,
the part of me that breathes quite alright
and never stops dreaming.
