Ah Uma, thats so kind and wondefrul to hear. Thank you so much.

You were always the one that reminded me that 'love is stronger' in all its unfathomable maginitudes than all the darkness, temptations and unhinged selfishness in the world.

I wish you all the best in your journeyx

Greetings, Great NaPoets! We're still holding strong at 26! The reality that this is our final DU NaPo is settling in here in noman's land. We're coming up on the Adromeda Galaxy, the closet galaxy to our solar system.

The Andromeda Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy and was originally named the Andromeda Nebula. Andromeda has a D25 isophotal diameter of about 46.56 kiloparsecs (152,000 light-years) and is approximately 765 kpc (2.5 million light-years) from Earth. The galaxy's name stems from the area of Earth's sky in which it appears, the constellation of Andromeda, which itself is named after the princess who was the wife of Perseus in Greek mythology.

Come on, NaPoets! Don't get sloppy now! Adjust your oxygen for deep-space travel and pay attention to your inboxes! Team'25 is doing all they can to help you across the finish line; however, you have to be willing to meet them halfway. That is, opening your frig'n messages and reading them in a timely manner. Failure to do so will result in a X which could've been avoided had you been paying attention.

Remember, these are YOUR mistakes we are trying to get you to fix in a timely manner to avoid the dreaded X.

We're currently traveling through the Andromeda galaxy, interestingly enough on a collision course with our Milky Way galaxy in a few billion years.

"What's the point?" I had a NaPoet ask me yesterday? "A trophy we'll never receive?"

My first instinct was to tell them that if a "trophy" was the only thing they were writing for, then they were right to ask what the point was. However, if they were writing for the Love of Poetry, and in honor of Eerie, then the question wouldn't exist to begin with.

Writing for the sake of writing is a legacy in and of itself. Of course, we understand this year is difficult and we fully support your decision to withdraw for any reason, trophy or lack of inspiration. But we are halfway home and will remain on this ship until it sinks. Those who wisht to remain with us on this journey are more than welcome to stay.

Those who choose to leave, we wish you well on your future poetic endeavors and have considered it an honor to have written with you.

OMFG!!
This 2025 is not starting off for me on the positive diode, anode and ode.
i decided to participate because i am INDOLENT a effin lazy wiriter.

DUP as my enabler, gave me a place to BE a LAZY WRITER.

NOT GONNA LIE this year has caused me to cry more than usual and daily i am finding ways to drop out of this comp!!

i have yet to utilize my good friend who agreed to let me piggy-back and feed off of his spills.  (thank You AP)

i've never cared about Trophies.
& any comp i won was a bonus, as i only entered to gain Readers.

and so, it's like that and not like this.
Eerie, not once made me feel like i was any less than anyone else -- writing so to speak.

She made me feel like, HELL YES!  I BELONG HERE.
without a Big Bang.

i loved her for that.
i don't do well with death (never have)
but while i wanted to write to her loved ones, i could not.
i will miss her heart and energy more than anyone who thinks they know me will understand.

O wow
got on a tangent
damn
sorry

Last night I realized at 11:52 pm I hadn’t written a poem. My excuse: tax day (I’m a tax preparer). Had it done with 2 minutes to spare. This is a practice, a meditation. I love it, and I love and miss Eerie. Or should that be Miss Eerie. Y’all know what I mean.

We're in warp drive now, NaPoets, headed for the Triangulum Galaxy, also known as M33. It's a large spiral galaxy like Andromeda and a member of the Local Group of galaxies. While Andromeda is the closest major galaxy to our Milky Way, Triangulum is still relatively nearby, located 2.7 million light-years away, compared to Andromeda's 2.5 million light-years.

The VLT Survey Telescope (VST) at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile has captured this beautifully detailed image of the galaxy Messier 33, often called the Triangulum Galaxy. This nearby spiral, the second closest large galaxy to our own galaxy, the Milky Way, is packed with bright star clusters, and clouds of gas and dust. This picture is amongst the most detailed wide-field views of this object ever taken and shows the many glowing red gas clouds in the spiral arms with particular clarity. Way to hang tough, NaPoets! We're deep in space now and coming up on the Tuscana Dwarf Galaxy.

The Tuscana is a dwarf galaxy in the constellation Tucana. It was discovered in 1990 by R.J. Lavery of Mount Stromlo Observatory. It is composed of very old stars and is very isolated from other galaxies. Its location on the opposite side of the Milky Way from other Local Group galaxies makes it an important object for study.
