I love seeing you, as always... I'll thank you in advance and I'll tell you that there certainly was bitterness, at one time... Now, it's just another (very) hard lesson learned. I did not have bitterness about THAT particular moment /vacation, it was just a last beautifully remembered moment... sometimes we don't really know that it's going to be the end, while we're in the moment and experiencing it .... right?...sadly.

I adore that memory of yours to pieces! I used to have an enormous sea shell that I would hold up to my ear and do the very same thing, when I was really little, too. Then my family moved to Florida when I was around 10, where shell collecting was a given and the hunt to find the collectable worthy ones , never ceased. Even to this day... lol.
