Seventeen
I can still remember the first time I saw you
You had these Peruvian/Salvadoran charms
You were this tiny person behind the glass
But you took large place in my heart
when I held you in my arms.
And throughout the years your little voice
Grew along in the echoes of our photographs
As you may know, time is not that kind
It won’t stand still but it’s filled
with silly giggles and laughs
Now the boys keep knocking at the door
Look at the beautiful young lady you’ve become
I’ll help your dad keep the wolves at bay
Caring for a niece requires a lot of peace
with a piece and a shotgun
Kimmy V to me you’re still my baby girl
So just take this one as a new meme:
You’re the smartest hardest artist
I wish all your dreams come true
happy number seventeen!
