True to Life

In the blink of an eye my story has been told, leaving just the few chapters that life has left for me in store.        
 Nothing remains but a painful fleeting account of a series of events making up the full spirit of my life right to its vital core.          
 I am not walking off into the sunset with Romance and Happiness as my drama finally begins to unfold.          
 My life's struggles with heartbreak, depression, and loss constantly steals the narrative from me and rears it's ugly gripping stronghold.          
 Where is my decisive moment in time to define the legacy of my immortality in this simple man's expectations of life?          
 Why has my journey been full of obstacles with a reoccurring difficult battle of fighting the demons of self destruction, heartaches, and strife?          
 The culmination of my tale is still yet to be told and I will not go down without a good fight.          
 My ballad has many tunes left to be heard and the dim somber notes of all of my days past may hopefully ring out with a new song that is lively and bright.          
 My struggles will never win the day and hope will be my beacon to give me the peace and strength for the final quarter of my existence.          
 And one day, although I may be dead and forgotten, it will never be said that I ever quit fighting to live life with all of my resistance.          
 I will trust in fate to decide if I am worthy of love and happiness in what years lie ahead.          
 I am going to live my life to the fullest, " No more fear"!, "No more Dread"!
