Road Rage

Way back in my driving days
I fumed at stalling traffic
Hurled curses, hit the wheel
And blared the fucking horn

It was all to no avail
And backfired in my brain
Even when the cars moved on
My rage sucked in exhaust

Now that I'm not one to drive
I miss the open road
Nostalgic for the higher speeds
But not the rush hour load.
