Road Rage
Way back in my driving days
I fumed at stalling traffic
Hurled curses, hit the wheel
And blared the fucking horn
It was all to no avail
And backfired in my brain
Even when the cars moved on
My rage sucked in exhaust
Now that I'm not one to drive
I miss the open road
Nostalgic for the higher speeds
But not the rush hour load.
I fumed at stalling traffic
Hurled curses, hit the wheel
And blared the fucking horn
It was all to no avail
And backfired in my brain
Even when the cars moved on
My rage sucked in exhaust
Now that I'm not one to drive
I miss the open road
Nostalgic for the higher speeds
But not the rush hour load.

My dear friend, when you said how much calmer you’ve been without a car, I immediately thought ‘So have I’... a big difference!
A very relevant message, this piece. See, this is an issue all people who have ever commuted in a car can relate to.

Crow, this says so much about the human condition in our crazily structured world - to which many of us can relate. Glad you posted it.
