I've taken Kratom a few times and it put me right to sleep but so do pain pills.

You must have taken a red vein or taken too much. It sedates on higher dosage. Try a white vein next time. Or maybe that is just how you respond. I remember taking pain pills and cleaning house and such. Total upper for me....
