The Week In Hell
I let it fall apart
and I probably cannot repair
my errors in judgement
Yes, that was plural
this low state makes you see things,
invent things
based on jealously and misunderstanding
And then the suspension from work,
I let them finally win
pushing my buttons
to a point
that my reaction
led to an unintended dismissal
All in one week
I seem to set this life ablaze
sabotaging kindness
in my weakness
In my vulnerable state
I allowed the negativity to enter me
and now I am...

Blessings Ahead
He could tell
there had been a shift,
her attentions
captured in another direction
and he wasn't surprised
that lingering scent
penetrated more than a few
healthy minds
no doubt,
a few stood at attention
perhaps even shooting off
in adoration, privately
She had that kind of spell
that could make you swell
digesting those whispered lullabies
complete with explicit instruction

I can't avert my eyes

I thought of you
lying in wait,
your wish
traveling
to meet my eye
that hunger obvious
when you were
two fingers deep
summoning my attention
pulling your knees
to chest
the intent
never so clear
to engage my mind
to take you
in any possible way
the appreciation
diverted to your core
my mouth upon
the opening
the tongue darting
in for more
the evidence of rising
taken firmly in your hand
and suddenly I'm turning you

Performance Review
I wish I could have been encouraged
by those closest to me,
I was taught we should be fortunate for the basics
and I believe that to be true
I see it was defeat
that carried them through life
and in turn
that translated
that one must settle instead of strive
But here I am
mid-life,
and unfulfilled in career
my only salvation
often the imagination
I envy those so driven,
qualities I can't always find in myself
the power of repetitive mindsets
having that influence

It got so cold
that flash freeze
needs the warmth
of your parted knees
did I say pretty please?
That crisp air
got me in a shiver
I guess we haven't fully made it
through the winter
but what better reason
to make you quiver?
That calling cocoon
in glorious pink,
seems so wet and ready
for this length to sink
Oh yes, riding high
your bounce slapping against my thighs
I think we found the antidote
to conjure some warmth
and a glorious sunrise.
