Reality track #1 Dystopia
..and then came the fallout. There were no more walks around the block. The parks and neighborhoods stood lonely. Fearful hearts hunkered down behind closed doors...took to the mattresses. It was hard to find nourishment for the mind and for the belly. Those who had a good companion during those days were lucky. The ones who had bad companions were out of luck.
Then came the announcement that on certain days, people were allowed to leave the house to receive their inoculation. Everybody who was inoculated got their freedom in return so it was said. The ones who had gotten free made sure...

Finding my center
The place of calm
in this storm
Navigating my ship
A roof over my head
and provisions galore
My spirit rises
and my inner voice
guides me through

Falling
House of cards
comes crashing down
no aces left in the sleeve
Falling slowly at first
falling for you
then picking up speed
free fall
hitting the ground hard
Going to pieces
What is there to loose
but illusions
It used to hurt much more
Am I getting callous?
No, I think I am healing
I still breathe
My heart still beats
I still feel
I still love
It's good
I am good without it

The monkeys are loose
throwing shit at the audience
For this show you better wear your hazmat suit
Watch out for the fire spitters
don't let the tumblers distract you
Freaks are lurking behind curtains
setting traps for easy prey
The pretty princess on the white horse is a shape shifter
Don't get too close...she'll bite your head off
Hungry beasts pace back and forth behind rusty cage bars
The clowns are sharpening their knifes
There's no business like show business
Innocence is blind
Ignorance is deadly
Don't buy the...

Mind f**ker
There are those
who like to play...
who like to play games
Not chess, not sports, not poker
but mind games
They are those who play strategy like chess
who play competitive like sports
who play deceptive like poker
They enjoy the game of psychological warfare
They find it exhilerating to fuck with someones mind
There is no trick too dirty
no lie too absurd
no intrigue too underhanded
If you engage you will play by their rules
You will get entangled in their sticky stuff
and while you try to figure it out ...

Look and see
What's a chain to the beggar
is the sugar tit to the rich
There is no more envelope to push
Charles Bukowski left a long time ago
The post office is empty
so are the bellies of the poor
There's filth and feces in the streets
There's filth and feces in the brains
Nations built on broken backs
Spartacus had it right
break out of the circus
Maybe we can not win this game
but at least
if only in our minds
we can fight this machine
I am not sure
but maybe
there is
glory
in the end
