Border Lines
The child has her number memorized
An aunt beyond the fence
Waiting for her little niece
Waiting for the call
The child forced into a tent
Then not a further sign
Few news crews allowed to check
Reveal what's inside
No clue as to policy
Confusion as to law
Detention centers on the rise
Expanding while a child cries.
An aunt beyond the fence
Waiting for her little niece
Waiting for the call
The child forced into a tent
Then not a further sign
Few news crews allowed to check
Reveal what's inside
No clue as to policy
Confusion as to law
Detention centers on the rise
Expanding while a child cries.

Thanks, Raven. I imagine you care deeply too. I just wish there was something we could do.

I agree that we're dealing with a monster, and I'm outraged myself. Thank you LilDragonFly.

Thank you Bonzi. I know how you feel. I shed some tears seeing the news footage (limited in scope by authorities) offered by talk shows and news this morning. Very much like the Japanese internment camps from WWII, seems to me.

Well said, Ely. I wouldn't mind seeing him legally and politically buried myself. Thank you!

This fuckin fascist thing has been creeping in for a long time...bit by bit, step by step...This is not a partisan issue. Unless it truely is seen as a moral issue and we unite to do something about it, it like many other moral issues, will get worse. Think detention camps for Japanese, then Guantanamo, now the kids and next.....YOU!
Thank you crowfly and everybody else who speaks up.

It is heartbreaking and disgusting and your poem so eloquently describes the tragedy with caring and compassion.

Truly sad days, in the US and in many European countries, not last the one that hosts me atm. I hope people will head the teachings of history before it's too late. The pen, dear Crow, is a mighty weapon. Emperors have fallen thanks to it. We all need to stand together in this fight. J.
