To Take a Stand

No matter what a mother thinks,
she'll do what's best when danger's near.
To guard, protect, her little one,
and take a stand, self-sacrifice.
 
When you as individual
think you know what you want for you,
remember, fam'ly matters most,
and children need to know you care.
 
As citizens, Americans,
we all of us are relatives
with reason to protect our own,
and be there for the rest of them.
 
That means the world, the ones who watch
to see if we can earn their faith,
and show how much we want their trust.
It isn't easy, never was.
 
So think beyond the candidates
and cast the way you think is best
for generations yet to vote.
It's up to you, self-sacrifice.
