Watercolor Sunset

Gold colors sunsets, he paints with soft brushes and makes sure his edges blend and meld, when he brushes with Pink, he blushes. Pink is shy, she paints with soft dabs at the corners, she is in love with Gold. Red, always the matchmaker, pushes them closer and closer, and then she’s off, painting the sunset with curls of bold and electric color. Grey follows her, accentuating the color Red puts down. Grey is a special guest, you usually only see her on rainy days, but Red invited her. I think they're in love.
Yellow paints the last dying rays of the sun, they reach out, sending glimmers of light to the colors everyone else put down, he takes pride in being the last light of the day.
After everyone takes a bow Indigo sweeps in, her long gown billowing behind her, with Silver trailing after her. Indigo trails her brush along the sky, reluctantly erasing the sunset even though she knows it will be back and even better the next day. Once she has covered the entire sky, Silver comes and begins to dot the painted sky with stars. He uses a thin brush and almost no water so the stars don't drip, but once in a while, he lets one go, and we wish on it. He knows that you can't see him sometimes, but he always takes special care to paint the stars perfectly. He knows that he is the end of the sunset, but sometimes when he paints a shooting star, he wishes, he hopes, that really, he’s the beginning.
